DANVILLE — October 26, 2026. The Village Theatre Art Gallery’s fall exhibition Art in the Dark is scheduled to remain open through December 18, featuring two- and three-dimensional work that uses blacklight effects, LED illumination, glow and shadow.

Upcoming workshops for young artists

Danville announced Glowing Galaxy Painting activities tied to the exhibition. A session for children ages 5–11 is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, and another for ages 12–16 on Thursday, November 5. Families should confirm registration, remaining spaces and any fees with the organizer; the town announcement does not say every workshop is walk-in or cost-free.

Where to find the exhibition

The gallery is at 233 Front Street in Danville. The town lists regular public hours Wednesday–Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday visits are by appointment, and it is closed Sunday. Special event arrangements may differ.

The show was selected through the Town of Danville’s 16th Annual Juried Exhibition. It is an ongoing local arts event, not a new one-night installation on October 26. Contact the gallery at 925-314-3467 for current hours.
