DANVILLE, Contra Costa County — October 26, 2026. Residents interested in influencing local planning, historic preservation and parks have until Wednesday, November 4, at 5 p.m. to apply for multiple vacancies on Danville town commissions and advisory bodies.
Which boards are recruiting?
Danville lists three Planning Commission seats for four-year terms, two Design Review Board positions, three Heritage Resource Commission positions (including one seat reserved for a licensed architect), and two openings on the Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission. It also lists a seat representing the Contra Costa County Mosquito and Vector Control District.
These are public-service appointments, not general salaried job advertisements. Each role may have eligibility, professional or residency conditions, and applicants should review the specific town qualifications before submitting.
Application and interview timeline
The town plans candidate interviews in mid-November and appointments after interviews. New terms are expected to begin January 1, 2027. Danville’s October 1 notice directs residents to the official commission recruitment portal for forms and descriptions.
For questions, contact Town Clerk Kristine Meidberg at 925-314-3387. Applying by the stated deadline does not guarantee an interview or appointment. Source: Town of Danville press notices, October 1, 2026. Filed to Danville News.
